Brigitte Rizzo, Founder & Nurse Practitioner, Gut Life Wellness

Brigitte Rizzo is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Gut Life Wellness, a virtual functional and metabolic medicine practice dedicated to root-cause healing and personalized patient care. With a foundation in conventional medicine and advance training in functional and metabolic approaches, Brigitte specializes in addressing complex chronic conditions through comprehensive testing, strategic care plans and ongoing clinical partnership. Her work is centered on identifying the underlying drivers of illness- not just managing symptoms. Known for her motivation, high energy, and deep compassion, Brigitte is often described as someone who leads with both strength and heart. She believes healing happens best when patients feel seen, heard, and fully supported- and she is committed to walking alongside them every step of the way.

She completed advanced cancer training through the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health (MTIH), a program powered by Dr. Nasha Winters, ND, FABNO, deepening her understanding of the metabolic drivers of disease and enhancing her ability to support patients navigating cancer and complex chronic conditions.

With a firm belief in personal responsibility and patient empowerment, Brigitte partners closely with each individual to help them understand their unique physiology, take ownership of their health, and make informed decisions that support long-term healing. Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based medicine with advance functional testing, lifestyle and metabolic optimization, and patient education to create comprehensive, sustainable care plans tailored to each individual.

Gut Life Wellness was born from Brigitte’s most personal motivation—her daughter’s diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Witnessing firsthand that true healing required a whole-body, root-cause approach, she committed herself to a deeper understanding of the body’s interconnected systems and the transformative power of metabolic and lifestyle medicine. Guided by her belief that “the Second Brain Remembers What the Mind Forgets,” Brigitte created Gut Life Wellness as a place where patients are seen, supported, and strategically led toward meaningful, lasting change.

Alyssa Cabral

Hi, I’m Alyssa. I’m a certified Nervous System Coach, NeuroFit trained practitioner, and Health Coach who helps women support their bodies through the natural flows of the nervous system so healing can emerge from balance and connection. I uniquely guide women in understanding the divine intersection between their nervous system and their hormones, helping them reconnect with their body’s wisdom and rhythm.

My path into this work began long before I earned certifications. I’ve lived with nervous system disorders, liver disease, IBD, and autoimmune conditions since childhood. After years of unanswered questions, my body remained in survival mode, and healing felt distant.

Learning how to work with my nervous system changed everything. My digestion improved, flare ups became more manageable, and I rebuilt trust with my body. I began to understand that healing is not about fixing isolated symptoms, it is about restoring the natural ecosystem of the body, the inner intelligence that remembers how to balance, adapt, and thrive. I also came to understand that the nervous system is the motherboard of our bodies, orchestrating all processes and connecting every system, from hormones to digestion to immune function. That realization became the foundation of my work.

Today, I support women through polyvagal informed coaching, somatic practices, breathwork, frequency therapy, and NeuroFit techniques to help them feel grounded, safe, and balanced in their bodies again. I hold a safe container where they can truly be heard and seen, supporting healing when the nervous system and the body’s ecosystem are honored, trust is rebuilt, and the natural flow of biology is restored.

My mission is to create a space where women’s stories and symptoms are honored, where the body’s wisdom is recognized, and where healing can begin at its deepest level.

This work is about supporting the body’s natural ecosystem, honoring the intelligence of the inner biology, and restoring women’s connection to themselves, their bodies, and the world around them.
